About us

Our history began over 10 years ago out of curiosity, fondness for the local natural resources of my native Colombia and South America, and a hint of homesickness
It all started with a bracelet my mother gave me — made of tagua nuts, a material I had grown up around but never truly noticed. I became fascinated by it: sturdy yet smooth, easy to colour, and entirely biodegradable. That curiosity became a calling. Curious about the tagua nut? Learn more here.
~ A little about me ~
- I'm Angélica, an independent designer based in Oslo with roots in Colombia after nearly a decade living in London, where I studied Textile Design at Chelsea College of Art
- I believe beautiful things should also do good — for the people who make them, and for the planet
~ The people behind each piece ~
- Every accessory is handcrafted by a talented group of artisan women in Colombia and Ecuador
- Our artisan partners are paid fair wages and work in healthy and safe conditions
- As a female entrepreneur, supporting and collaborating with other women is at the heart of what we do
~ How we create ~
- Each year I design two collections of modern, timeless jewellery — pieces made to be worn for years, not seasons. Available wholesale through exclusive design stores. Interested in stocking our designs? Let's talk
- Our best-selling designs are always available in the web shop, with new colour additions each season
- Each tagua nut is unique in size, grain and shape, so no two pieces are ever exactly alike
- Our jewellery is fully biodegradable when it reaches the end of its life
~ Our commitment to the environment ~
- We use only natural and edible dyes, fixed with lemons and salt — nothing harsh, nothing harmful
- Tagua seeds are collected after falling naturally from the palm, so the tree and forest are never damaged
- Any dye remains are discharged safely — always
