Jewellery with Purpose: Why we are nuts for design?

At Angelica León Design, every piece of jewellery tells a story:

A story rooted in tradition, sustainability, and a deep connection to the earth.

We are so happy that you are part of our community and would like to nourish our connection by telling you more about our journey into sustainable jewellery.

It began over a decade ago, inspired by the vibrant natural resources of my native Colombia and a heartfelt desire to stay connected to my roots while living in Norway.

A simple bracelet made from tagua nuts, gifted by my mother over, sparked a passion that grew into our brand.

Ever since our beginnings we hold our commitments to sustainable design close to our heart, and believe it’s possible to create refined, elegant, and modern jewellery that respects the environment.

Some of our key commitments include:

Connection to our Roots: Our designs are inspired by South American artisan traditions and designed with love in Norway with a twist of Scandinavian style.

🌱 Sustainability: Our designs are timeless and modern, made with biodegradable tagua nuts and natural dyes—no use for harmful chemicals.

🤝 Ethical Craftsmanship: We collaborate directly with skilled artisans in Colombia and Ecuador, ensuring fair wages and a continuous line of work.

🌍 Eco-Conscious Values: We aim to a zero-waste production, reducing the environmental impact of our design. The tagua nut is 100% biodegradable.

💚 Nature's Connection: Each piece connects you to the Earth, celebrating its beauty responsibly.

Wearing a tagua nut jewellery piece isn’t just about style—it’s about carrying a connection to the earth, to traditions, and to a story of sustainability, while caring for both people and the planet.

.

Thank you for being part of our journey. Together, we celebrate beauty with purpose.
